** netCDF error: Invalid Argument is this a CDF file ?it is quite possible that you can use set data after you download the netcdf file.

There is a bug in ferret which is corrected in release 6.0 (see notes about "nonstandard calendar axes"). Please upgrade if you are using monthly data.
